The usual Saturday morning park run on the Severn Bridge near AluK GB's head office had a unique twist on 24 June! 44 AluK GB employees and their families took part in a 5km run/walk to raise money for the Breast Cancer NOW charity.
It was all part of AluK’s global and annual Run for Life charity initiative, which invites AluK’s various teams around the world to take part in sponsored local runs to raise funds for breast cancer charities.
The UK team played its part and, thanks to the generosity of our collaborators and the company’s donation for each team member who took part in the race, a total of €761 was raised to support those affected by the disease.
The fundraising didn’t stop at the park run. After the race, AluK GB organised a fantastic summer party with factory tours for the families, ping pong tournaments, egg and spoon races for the parents and face painting for the kids.
All in all, a great moment for everyone. Congratulations to the organising team and all the participants for taking up the challenge!
