AluK Achieves Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze – Full Scope for Three Systems for our European Business Units

AluK is proud to announce that three of its aluminium building systems: SL50, C67K and C77K have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze - Full Scope for our European Business Units, reinforcing our commitment to circular product design and responsible manufacturing.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® is one of the world’s most rigorous, science‑based certification standards for sustainable products. Achieving full scope certification means the complete system, including profiles, components, surface treatments and associated materials has been assessed across the product lifecycle and value chain.

What the certification evaluates

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® framework assesses products across five core categories:

·        Material Health - assessment of chemical composition and elimination of substances harmful to human health and the environment

·        Material Reutilisation - product design for circularity, recyclability and contribution to closed material loops

·        Renewable Energy & Carbon Management - energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and climate impact

·        Water Stewardship - responsible water management and protection of water resources

·        Social Fairness - respect for human rights and fair labour practices across the supply chain

 Achieving the Bronze level confirms that AluK systems meet verified requirements in all five categories, supported by transparent documentation and third‑party validation.

·        Responsible sourcing and material transparency

·        Improved environmental and social performance, aligned with ESG expectations and EU sustainability objectives
